Elad Kopler

Prize for Young Israeli Artist
Born in 1974, Elad Kopler graduated from Israel’s Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design with a Masters in Art. Kopler’s paintings focus on the breakdown of the physical world. He creates a world full of internal dissonances expressed in paintings of ruins, buildings falling apart and abandoned towns.

These are shown in bold strokes, expressive colors and painted gestures where a foggy film conceals and blocks their vitality. "This is postmodern and contemporary art that contains an element of ‘spectacle’ A showcase with a dimension of seductive, sweeping and theatrical beauty that conceals elements of destruction and devastation."
