The Rappaport Prize

Promoting Excellence

New Paragraph

The application and nomination process for the Rappaport Prize for Biomedical Research was postponed to December 31st, 2023 and we were delighted to see the number and quality of applications submitted, as every year, despite the challenging times.

Three months have passed since The Bruce and Ruth Rappaport Foundation, Keshet and The Tel Aviv Museum of Art decided to postpone the application and nomination process for the 2024 Rappaport prizes for Art and for Women Generating Change.

In recent months we have experienced shocking events, ranging from unimaginable pain to moments of relief while we try to hold on to sparks of hope. In days when uncertainty seems to take over every good part, we have chosen to adhere to the values of excellence on which the Rappaport Prize is founded, and to honor this historical moment during which the Israeli society demonstrated its remarkable resilience and vitality.

The Rappaport Prize for Art and for Women Generating Change will be awarded this year in a different and adapted format. We would like to dedicate the Art prize to the realization of new video works that evidence or echo the questions and concerns that arise at this time, and at the same time to praise the heroic women, who since October 7 are breaking new ground in areas such as: Revival, Treatment, Rehabilitation, Documentation & Advocacy.
